Under his direction the firm has won multiple awards for design and sustainability, and has been published in Local, National, and International publications.

- Founding chair of the Saskatchewan Chapter of the Canada Green Building Council
- President of the Saskatchewan Association of Architects
- Co-chair the Saskatchewan School of Architecture and Visual Arts (SAVA) Task Force
- Participant in the CALA /CACB Validation Conference
- Secretary for the A4LE Saskatchewan Chapter

Since 2007 Paul and RBM architecture have made partnerships with First Nations and Indigenous projects and communities a core focus of the firm. This includes work with Douglas Cardinal on the Gordon Oaks Red Bear Student Centre at the University of Saskatchewan, a project that played a pivotal role along with the TRC in adding Indigenization as a core principle to the University. In all these projects Paul works with communities, following the protocols of the land and the Elders, and doing things in a good way to make things better as a commitment to Reconciliation.
