The RAIC was looking forward to hosting our first in-person event since October 2019.
The RAIC staff have been not only closely following updates from the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), the World Health Organization (WHO) with respect to COVID 19 and monkeypox, but also the emerging issues facing the travel industry where thousands of flight cancellations are severely impacting people.
The RAIC’s top priorities are safeguarding the health, safety and well-being of Congress delegates, volunteers, speakers, panelists, exhibitors, and staff, as well as ensuring that travel is as smooth as possible. Unfortunately, the travel challenges have directly impacted travel to and from New Brunswick, with many flight cancellations over the Congress dates, October 1-4, 2022.
As such, the RAIC has made the difficult but necessary decision to cancel the in-person component of the 2022 Congress on Architecture, including all events booked between October 1-4, 2022, in St. Andrews, New Brunswick. Plans to rebook or transition event components will be underway in the coming weeks, stay tuned for updates.
RAIC staff will be in touch directly with delegates, Fellows, sponsors, exhibitors and special guests who registered for in-person attendance. If you had registered and you have not heard from the RAIC by August 31, 2022, please email congress@raic.org
