The RAIC needs volunteers to assist staff during the Festival of Architecture to be held at the Westin Harbour Castle from October 26 to 30, 2019 in Toronto. Volunteers fulfill important roles such as registration desk and event assistants, session monitors and more.

A six-member jury has chosen three projects for the shortlist of the RAIC International Prize for socially transformative architecture. They are a university building in Peru, an artists’ residence and cultural centre in Senegal, and a Baha’i Temple in Chile. The prize winner will be unveiled at a gala in Toronto on October 25.

Twenty-nine students from the McEwen School of Architecture, three of them Indigenous, were recognized at convocation on June 6 and received the first degrees of Master of Architecture ever conferred by the university in Sudbury, ON.

The Korean Institute of Architects invites submissions for its Shelter For Soul design and installation competition. The deadline to register is June 14. Proposals must be submitted before July 12. First prize is $10,000 USD.
