Dale Taylor, FRAIC

A registered architect since 1972, Dale Taylor is a past president of the Alberta Association of Architects and the Committee of Canadian Architectural Councils. He was a senior designer with Stevenson Raines & Partners in Calgary before beginning a teaching career at the University of Calgary, where he served as head of the architecture and industrial design programs and remains an emeritus professor. Dale has been in private practice for the past 20 years during which time he was a mentor and founding partner to the firm now practicing as McKinley Burkart Architects in Calgary and Vancouver.

Recently retired, he continues as a mentor and consulting architect to McKinley Burkart and FRANK Architecture, of Calgary. Dale is a graduate of the University of Texas in Austin and of the Kahn Studio at the University of Pennsylvania. He believes “there are many new ways an architect can pursue design excellence, and we must continue to welcome them all into the RAIC’s common ground.”
